Come celebrate Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings' 120th birthday on our last day of tours for the season!
Though Rawlings' was born August 8th, 1896, The Friends of Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Farm and park staff invite you to an "early" celebration in July since the historic house closes in August and September for annual restorations and repairs of the historic house and collections. Birthday cake and refreshments will be served.

Take part in a park ranger program, which occurs every Sunday. Topics vary, with each program offering an opportunity to learn something new about Silver Springs State Park and Florida’s unique environment.

Ranger Guided Sea Turtle Walk @ Sebastian Inlet State ParkSunday, July 31, 2016 - 9:00pm to 11:45pm EDT

Learn about Florida's endangered sea turtles and then take a nighttime walk on the beach to witness a mother loggerhead sea turtle lay her eggs in the warm beach sands of Sebastian Inlet State Park.
A maximum of 6 reservations can be made per family. There are no group reservations. The program beach is an isolated area; once the beachwalk portion begins, individuals within the group are committed to stay together until the end of the program.
NO flash photography, flashlights or cell phone lights are allowed on the beach. There are no water or restroom facilities once on the beach.
Wear comfortable walking shoes or sneakers. Bring insect repellent. Wear dark-colored long pants and long sleeves if you are not tolerant of mosquitoes and no-see-ums.
This program may require an up-to three-mile walk on the beach.
Sebastian Inlet State Park will start taking sea turtle walk reservations on May 15, at 10:30 a.m. for June’s Turtle Walk programs. Sebastian Inlet State Park will start taking sea turtle walk reservations on June 15, at 10:30 a.m. for July’s Turtle Walk programs. The tours have limited space available. Reservations can be made between 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Participants with reservations will meet on their scheduled night at the Sebastian Inlet Fishing Museum, 14251 North Highway A1A, Vero Beach, FL 32963. The program starts promptly at 9 pm.
