Join us for our Beginner's Saltwater Fishing Workshop for adults on Thursdays from 9-12, and youth on Fridays from 9-12! On July 7, 14, 21, or 28th Adults 18 and over can learn how to identify fish, use a rod, reel, and tackle, and apply conservation tips while fishing. Youth workshops ages 8-17 will be offered Fridays July 8, 15, 22, or 29th. We will supply everything! Registration is required by calling 386-446-6783 or emailing Amy.Biedenbach@dep.state.fl.us

Summer 2016 volunteer workdays will be every Friday in one of the gardens at the Main Entrance.
A water keg will be provided but please bring your own water bottle. Gardening gloves will also be provided.
If this is your first time volunteering at the park, please let the ticket booth know that you are here for the garden workday and they will direct you to the gardens.

Each June and July MacArthur Beach State Park offers evening turtle walks so that visitors can have a chance at viewing loggerhead sea turtles laying their eggs. This ancient ritual is a sight not to be missed! Turtle Walks fill up quickly so be sure to register early. Registration will be on-line and sold as "tickets" through www.macarthurbeach.org. Price is $10.00 per ticket, non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by Park staff. Registration launches on May 31 at 9am (It will fill up quickly). Walk Schedule starts on June 6 runs through July 29 (M, W & F with the exception of July 4).

Learn about Florida's endangered sea turtles and then take a nighttime walk on the beach to witness a mother loggerhead sea turtle lay her eggs in the warm beach sands of Sebastian Inlet State Park.
A maximum of 6 reservations can be made per family. There are no group reservations. The program beach is an isolated area; once the beachwalk portion begins, individuals within the group are committed to stay together until the end of the program.
NO flash photography, flashlights or cell phone lights are allowed on the beach. There are no water or restroom facilities once on the beach.
Wear comfortable walking shoes or sneakers. Bring insect repellent. Wear dark-colored long pants and long sleeves if you are not tolerant of mosquitoes and no-see-ums.
This program may require an up-to three-mile walk on the beach.
Sebastian Inlet State Park will start taking sea turtle walk reservations on May 15, at 10:30 a.m. for June’s Turtle Walk programs. Sebastian Inlet State Park will start taking sea turtle walk reservations on June 15, at 10:30 a.m. for July’s Turtle Walk programs. The tours have limited space available. Reservations can be made between 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Participants with reservations will meet on their scheduled night at the Sebastian Inlet Fishing Museum, 14251 North Highway A1A, Vero Beach, FL 32963. The program starts promptly at 9 pm.
