Join a photographer and nature enthusiast for a leisurely stroll on the Shoreline Trail and learn techniques to help capture the beauty of the maritime forest and driftwood of Boneyard Beach on film.

Additional Information:

Please bring your own camera and photography supplies, sturdy shoes, bug spray, sunscreen and water. The program will take place at the Bluffs pavilion on Big Talbot Island.

Join our knowledgeable and enthusiastic Park Rangers on a tram tour through the park to discover the secrets of Oscar Scherer State Park! Parking is available at the Nature Center and participants are asked to meet at the Nature Center promptly at 10am. Seating on the tram is on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to 25 people. Can accommodate 2 wheelchairs and arrive early for the best seat.

This weekly program features different arts and craft opportunities for kids.  A Volunteer will be on-hand in the Nature Center to instruct and provide the materials but parents are asked to remain with their child throughout the program; parents are welcome to participate as well.  Supplies and seating is limited, so participation is on a first-come, first-served basis.

The tidal salt marsh of our park is home to the Atlantic Blue Crab, a popular seafood and keystone species of the local ecosystem.  Learn to catch these tasty crustaceans in a one hour hands-on program, appropriate for adults and families. Ranger Guided Sea Turtle Walk @ Sebastian Inlet State Park

Learn about Florida's endangered sea turtles and then take a nighttime walk on the beach to witness a mother loggerhead sea turtle lay her eggs in the warm beach sands of Sebastian Inlet State Park.

Additional Information:

A maximum of 6 reservations can be made per family. There are no group reservations. The program beach is an isolated area; once the beachwalk portion begins, individuals within the group are committed to stay together until the end of the program.

NO flash photography, flashlights or cell phone lights are allowed on the beach. There are no water or restroom facilities once on the beach.

Wear comfortable walking shoes or sneakers. Bring insect repellent. Wear dark-colored long pants and long sleeves if you are not tolerant of mosquitoes and no-see-ums.

This program may require an up-to three-mile walk on the beach.

Sebastian Inlet State Park will start taking sea turtle walk reservations on May 15, at 10:30 a.m. for June’s Turtle Walk programs. Sebastian Inlet State Park will start taking sea turtle walk reservations on June 15, at 10:30 a.m. for July’s Turtle Walk programs. The tours have limited space available. Reservations can be made between 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Participants with reservations will meet on their scheduled night at the Sebastian Inlet Fishing Museum, 14251 North Highway A1A, Vero Beach, FL 32963. The program starts promptly at 9 pm.
