Join staff along paved trails and roads, learning about the park's unique natural and cultural history. The tour is approximately 2 hours long and may be too long or vigorous for young children or persons who are not able to handle cycling about 5-6 miles.

Entry fee is $3.00 per car for access to the park grounds & grove. If you would like to add an historic house tour, it is an additional $3.00 per adult, $2.00 per child (6-12 years.) Cash or check only. House tour times are 10AM, 11AM, 1PM, 2PM, 3PM and 4PM..
Come join the Friends of Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Farm to celebrate the planting of a new rose variety named in her honor!
Rawlings loved her fragrant "Louis Philippe" roses, which she planted between her kitchen garden and the duck pen. She would be thrilled that a beautiful new rose variety has been named for her, and has been planted near the entrance to her grove. Art Wade, of Rose Petals Nursery in Newberry, will give a short talk, and there will be refreshments and a chance drawing to win one of the MKR roses. The actual ribbon-cutting will take place at 2PM, and drawings from noon until 2PM.

Come enjoy local and visiting musicians perform acoustic music in a scenic area near the springs. Instruments usually include a banjo, guitar, fiddle, upright bass, and accordion. They may vary from month to month. Feel free to bring your own instrument and join in or just listen and enjoy. Hand claps and foot taps welcome!

Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park will have an exciting and educational Tree ID Tour of Lake Overstreet Trails. Come hike around the Lake Overstreet trails and stop to identify trees along the way.
Bring water, insect repellent and sunscreen. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
