As you meander down the trail to the cow camp, you will travel back in time to 1876.
At the end of the trail you will find a Florida Cow Hunter in a frontier camp along the route of a cattle drive. He will be cooking, making coffee, tending to the cattle or just resting up until the next round up or drive. The cow hunter will be happy to share stories about what his life is like and the challenges he faces.
Available upon request for groups of 15 or more.

Join staff along paved trails and roads, learning about the park's unique natural and cultural history. The tour is approximately 2 hours long and may be too long or vigorous for young children or persons who are not able to handle cycling about 5-6 miles.
MKR Tenant House Open House @ Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Historic State ParkSunday, April 24, 2016 - 12:00pm to 4:00pm EDT
Park entry fee is $3 per car. This will allow access to the Tenant House which is located across the yard from the main house. If a Rawlings' main house tour is desired, it will be an additional $3 per adult/$2 per child (6-12 years.) Cash or check only. Rawlings' main house tour times are 10AM, 11AM, 1PM, 2PM, 3PM and 4PM.

Come explore Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings' historical tenant house and learn about the families who lived there. During this open house, a park volunteer will be available to assist and answer questions about its history.
The Tenant House will be open and attended between noon and 4PM only. Dress for outside weather.

Take part in a park ranger program, which occurs every Sunday. Topics vary, with each program offering an opportunity to learn something new about Silver Springs State Park and Florida’s unique environment.

Swing your partner, do-si-do, and promenade down to The Barnacle for an outdoor contra dance held under a covered pavilion by Biscayne Bay! These fun and friendly dances are open to everyone and include a caller and a live acoustic band. The gates open at 6 p.m. Pre-dance instruction begins at 6:30pm, and dancing starts at 7 p.m.
On-street and off-street paid parking is available throughout Coconut Grove. Visitors with a Disabled Person Parking Permit may call the Ranger Station for additional parking information.
Picnics are welcome and snacks to share are encouraged.
