Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park

Be active while enjoying nature in a Florida State Park.

Join us for a walk of up to 3 miles on the Gainesville-Hawthorne State Trail.

Meet us in the La Chua Trail parking lot.

We will walk at a pace that suits the group, or you're welcome to move at your own pace. Join us and do what you can.

Check the weather and dress accordingly. Bring a water bottle - there is a water fountain near the parking lot, but not anywhere else along the walk.

Please RSVP on the Friends of Paynes Prairie webpage HERE so that we can contact you if anything changes or the walk is cancelled for any reason.

Our intention is to offer Wellness Walks throughout the year, so if you're looking for a new routine to get out and be active, join us and we can help to keep you motivated!
