Welcome to Anastasia State Park! Despite rollercoaster temperatures, there is always something to do at the Park. Cooler temperatures are perfect for cozy camping, a walk down our nature trails or even stop by the Island Beach store and grill. If it warms up for the day, you can watch seabirds and other wildlife by walking our 5 miles of shoreline, visit Anastasia Water Sports to go kayaking, paddle boarding or even rent a sailboat! Springtime will be here before you know it which brings shorebird nesting and sea turtle nesting. We are actively monitoring the beach, so please be mindful of this while you enjoy your time in our beautiful park. Be sure to watch your step and mind any posting or signs you may see marking off nests. Just a reminder, pets are never allowed on the beach at Anastasia State Park.
Be careful at the south end of our beach as the Army Corps of Engineers is conducting a beach re-nourishment project. Visitors may see large pipe, large equipment and a flurry activity near the Pope Road entrance. We ask you be mindful and careful in this area.
Anastasia is always seeking the aid of volunteers in many areas including, special events, ranger station, interpretive programs, and photography. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Chanell Guillaume at (904) 461-2035 or Chanell.Guillaume@dep.state.fl.us.
As always, you have the opportunity to join our CSO, the Friends of Anastasia. A yearly membership fee will gain you access into Anastasia State Park, as well as the chance to get involved and help out our park. To sign up, please visit www.friendsofanastasia.org. Do not forget that 100 volunteer hours here will get you a free annual pass into Anastasia State Park and 500 cumulative volunteer hours will get you a free annual pass good for all of the Florida State Parks.
Come enjoy the REAL Florida here with us at Anastasia State Park!”
