Tony with Deadeye

Spring is finally here and the park is looking great.  The migration is in full swing and birds can be heard throughout the Southernmost State Park.  Spring also brings events to Key West, and Fort Zachary Taylor loves to get involved.  From Civil War Events to local parades, the staff and volunteers at Fort Taylor are ready to engage.  Come on down to the park, take a tour of our Historic Fort, jump in the warm ocean, and see why we are one the most popular State Parks in Florida.

Living History Weekend is one of my favorite times of the month.  The third weekend of each month is dedicated to our Living History Program.  Come and see the Fort come alive as local re-enctors engage the public in historic demonstrations.  If you have not been to the Fort in a while drop on by and see all the new artifacts and interpetive panels. The park is open from 8am to sunset every day, and we would sure love to see you soon.
