Whiskey Creek

Park Manager's Message

Its official, Spring is here and the weather could not be better.  Days have moderate temperatures, while the nights are delightfully cool.  We want to welcome everyone to our great State and Florida State Parks where they may enjoy the outdoor experience to the fullest.

Dr. Von D. Mizell - Eula Johnson State Park is one of the best places around Broward County to enjoy the tropical lifestyle.  Our beach is the only natural area left in the county where visitors may feel as if they have the beach all to themselves.

Visitors have a variety of activities to choose from during their visit.  One may fish along the shoreline, use the picnic area, kayak or canoe in the creek, trek through the nature trail, and or enjoy a meal at the park restaurant.

We want to caution everyone going out onto the beach to watch out for cliffing problems, caused by storms and aggressive wave erosion.  The most severely affected areas are the northern sections of the beach and these areas are posted with warning signs.  Lesser affected areas begin east of parking lot #3 and extend to the southern end of the park.

Looking forward to your visit and remember

"This is the Real Florida"
