Amethyst Hairstreak Butterfly

Visit Hugh Taylor Birch State Park and enjoy our beautiful ocean view, shade covered walking trails and beach access.  You can rent a canoe, kayak, SUP, peddle boat, jetski or a beach chair and umbrella from the concessionaire or bring your own.  The park's new restaurant, Park & Ocean, is now open to the public and offers daily lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.  They offer delicious options such as grilled cheese sandwiches, fish tacos, kale salad, nitro coffee, local beers and smoothies.  As you explore the park, you may be fortunate enough to see a passing manatee, atala butterfly, yellow-crowned night heron or a gopher tortoise.

The park's main loop road will be temporarily closed for widening beginning in mid-August .  This project will include the installation of a pedestrian/bicycle lane to increase visitor safety.  Parking will be limited during this time so we encourage everyone to get here early and expect closures when the parking is full.  We apologize in advance for any inconvenience and thank you all for your understanding while we work hard to improve the park.

Thank you!
