Hillsborough River State Park

Florida has one of the largest park systems in the Continental U.S. with 174 award-winning state parks and nearly 800,000 acres of land under management. Hillsborough River State Park is one of Florida’s original 8 state parks and was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (C.C.C.). On September 30th, why not spend a few hours helping preserve this wonderful natural and cultural resource? Volunteers are needed to assist our team by pulling invasive, exotic plants, clearing debris from trails, and repairing boardwalks. Work clothes and closed-toed shoes are required. Water, sunscreen and bug spray are suggested.

All volunteers must complete a Florida Park Service Volunteer Application.  Applications will be provided upon arrival for the event.
