Summer is finally here and that means longer days, and more time to spend in your favorite Florida State Park. Here at Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park this means more swimming, more picnics, more history, and more family time.
Stop by and snorkel our new snorkel trail with over 6,000 pieces of transplanted coral. Take a tour of our historic Fort and touch the largest collection of Civil War guns in the world. Check out our butterfly garden and see dozens of Southern Whites as they begin their life. Have a cuban sandwich at Cayo Hueso Cafe before you rent a chair and umbrella and watch the day go by, Key West style. Finally, you can end the day watching the sun set into the water where the Gulf of Mexico meets the Atlantic Ocean.
Dont forget to take a picture of the famous sign in front of our cafe to show your friends exactly where you are. Have a great summer, and see you in the park!
