Park staff and the Friends of Dunns Creek State Park are hosting a Volunteer Work Day! Projects will vary from month to month, however they will mostly focus on trail maintenance, park maintenance, and resource management, such as removal of invasive plants and preparing prescribed fire zones for burns.
No experience is necessary. We will provide all of the training you need and will supply all of the materials and tools. Bring your family and friends as we enjoy the outdoors! By volunteering for this event, you and your family will also have free access to the park for the day.
Please wear sturdy footwear (no open toed shoes) and clothing appropriate for working outdoors. Insect repellent and long pants are highly recommended as participants will be exposed to ticks and mosquitoes while working. We are asking that all participants bring a re-usable water bottle.
Volunteers will meet at the day use picnic area in the main park (located off Sisco Road), unless otherwise noted. Contact the park office at (386) 329-3721 to verify meeting location.
