Estero Bay Preserve at Sunset

Estero Bay Preserve State Park is open every day of the year from 8 a.m. until sunset. And, while anytime is a great time to enjoy the great Florida outdoors, the cooler (drier!) winter months are some of the best times to walk, hike and bike at the Preserve. During our wet season, frequent afternoon showers can catch you a few miles from your car and flood the hiking trails. The scrub area access off Broadway Road (in Estero) stays drier than the Winkler Point (Ft. Myers) wetland area access. When you come to visit the park, please understand that these wilderness areas do not have drinking water available. The scrub access has a small pavilion and restroom for your convenience. Come prepared with plenty of water and maybe some bug spray so you can enjoy the serenity of the preserve all day!
