The Department of Environmental Protection’s Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park along with the Apalachicola Riverkeepers will host a coastal cleanup on Saturday, September 16, 2017. The Apalachicola Riverkeepers coastal cleanup is a countywide effort aimed at cleaning our shores and educating beach goers. Participants will help to pick up litter along the shorelines of St George Island State Park. This will be a great day to bring the family to the park for a rewarding experience.
Entrance fees will be waived for participants.
We will be meeting at the Entrance Station. Participants should wear or bring sunscreen, bug spray, protective clothing, work or close-toed water shoes. Volunteers will be provided trash bags, gloves, data cards, snacks, water and t-shirts while supplies last.
