Coastal Cleanup is the largest volunteer service event to remove litter from our rivers and oceans for the protection of our wildlife. Volunteers are needed at Wakulla Springs State Park to assist the park's Citizen's Support Organization, the Friends of Wakulla Springs State Park, to remove litter from their adopted section of road that borders the park and leads to the Wakulla River.
Free with Event Registration.
Meet at the park's side gate on Hwy 61.
Volunteers need to provide work clothes and shoes. Work gloves and a water bottle are also suggested and encouraged.
Following the event, volunteers are invited to attend the Coastal Cleanup Celebration in Panacea which is sponsored by Keep Wakulla County Beautiful. Attendees will receive a Coastal Cleanup t-shirt and lunch.
Registration is required. Please register to be a part of this event by calling Jackie Turner at 850-561-7281.
