National Public Lands Day is a national community service event celebrated throughout Florida and the country. Silver Springs will host a number of different work projects include planting native wildflowers in the gardens as well as removing invasive exotic plants such as air potato from the park's forest. All participants should meet at the main entrance by 9:00 a.m. For more details about what you should bring with you please read the participation requirements below.
Admission to the event is free for volunteers. Anyone who participates in the volunteer event gets free admission to the park, discounted boat tours, and a free admission pass for a future visit.
Enter the park through the main entrance located at 5656 East Silver Springs Boulevard (State Road 40).
