Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton

The latest information on any impacts to state parks will be posted here.

Effective Nov. 14, 2024: To help ensure the safety of visitors and staff, Florida State Parks is assessing the impact of Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. The following parks have been affected by the storms.

Park Closures, including any associated overnight accommodations:

  1. Caladesi Island State Park (Pinellas County).
  2. Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park (Collier County).
  3. Egmont Key State Park (Hillsborough County).
  4. Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park (Citrus County).
  5. Faver-Dykes State Park (St. Johns County).
  6. Gasparilla Island State Park (Lee County).
  7. Hillsborough River State Park (Hillsborough County).
  8. Honeymoon Island State Park (Pinellas County).
  9. Madison Blue Spring State Park (Madison County).
  10. Stump Pass Beach State Park (Charlotte County).

Overnight accommodations closures include:

  1. Oscar Scherer State Park (Sarasota County).
