A Message From The Director

Welcome to Florida State Parks, State Trails and Historic Sites

Welcome to the website for Florida’s state parks. This website will help you plan your visits to Florida’s 174 award-winning state parks, trails and historic sites.

This month, continue to enjoy the mild temperatures at state parks around Florida. Keep that mind, that we will celebrate Earth Day on April 22 and many state parks will host special events that weekend. You have the opportunity to enjoy festivals, scavenger hunts and ranger-led tours of our state parks, kayak tours and bird walks. There will also be an opportunity to volunteer at beach clean ups. Find a complete list of events here.

Many state parks offer Junior Ranger programs for that provide hands-on learning in a fun way. Children receive a Junior Ranger kit, complete CORE activities and earn certificates, stamps and opportunity to receive a Junior Ranger badge, patch or pin.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram. Also, be sure to download the PocketRanger® app for iPhones and Android smart phones.

See you at the park!

Donald V. Forgione
