A Message From The Director

Welcome to Florida State Parks, State Trails and Historic Sites

Welcome to the website for Florida’s state parks. This website will help you plan your visits to Florida’s 174 award-winning state parks, trails and historic sites.

May is Military Appreciation Month. At Florida’s state parks, we appreciate our active duty servicemen and veterans every day. We invite you to enjoy our award-winning state park. We offer discounts on the purchase of our Annual Entrance Passes for those currently serving or have served in the US Armed Forces. Additionally, we offer a Free Lifetime Military Entrance Pass to veterans with service-related disabilities, surviving spouses and parents of members of the U.S. military who have fallen in combat. Find more information here.

For Memorial Day Weekend (May 27-29), we’ll gather at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park on the banks of the Suwannee River for the Florida Folk Festival.  Buy your tickets now for a three-day celebration of the music, dance, stories, crafts and food that make Florida unique. The Department of State’s Folklife Program will feature performances and demonstrations celebrating the diverse living traditions of Miami-Dade County.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram. Also, be sure to download the PocketRanger® app for iPhones and Android smart phones.

See you at the park!

Donald V. Forgione
Director, Florida Park Service
