Frequently Asked Questions about Windley Key Fossil Reef Geological State Park


Question: Can we take/dig fossils?
Answer: No! It is illegal to remove any natural or cultural resource from a Florida state park. Visitors may take "rubbings" of the quarry walls.

Question: Do I need insect repellent?
Answer: May –November, yes. During the remainder of the year, it is usually pleasant. We do provide insect repellent.
