A NOTE FROM THE MANAGER

Toby Brewer

Hello Everyone,

Just a reminder that this year marks the 65th anniversary of Weeki Wachee Springs and we plan to celebrate this July 14th and 15th. Weeki Wachee Mermaids from the past and present will be here to tell stories sharing some of their experiences and photos. There will be some special product vendors as well as special mermaid performances, be sure to mark your calendars. If you have any photos from the past you may want to bring them and share as we are very interested in the history of Weeki Wachee.

As the weather warms you can really start to enjoy the swimming area of the park and with the water at a constant 74 degrees it can surely offer some relief from the heat. Just a reminder, the swimming area is open everyday but the water slides are operating only on weekends until the end of May when they will start operating everyday. Other park happenings, we are currently working with our volunteers to complete a ½ mile section of nature trail that we hope will be open sometime this summer. If you are interested in getting involved with that project or any other volunteer project be sure to let us know by calling the park or stopping by to get more information.

Lastly, we continue to gain support from our fans on Facebook. If you are on Facebook be sure to check out and become our fan, we appreciate the support and its a great way to keep up with all thats going on here at the park.
