Troy Spring State Park Photos

High atop steep banks of the Suwannee River, a spectacular sunrise welcomes the day through the stately boughs of Troy Spring live oaks. A close-up view of the head of a grey rat snake, also locally known as the white oak snake. A common denizen of the forest surrounding Troy Spring. The Sand Dragon, a type of dragonfly, is one of the insects that indicate a healthy aquatic ecosystem such as that at Troy Spring.

The vivid lavender blossoms of the Carolina Wild Petunia are a familiar summer sight among the hammocks and pinewoods surrounding Troy Spring.   The crystal clear spring water of the Troy Spring Run make its spring bowl and limestone features visible even from high in the air.
