Topsail Road (98 entrance) is closed effective February 15, 2010 due to a resource restoration project. Please use the entrance on Hwy 30A (where the flag poles are) to enter the park as a day-use visitor or camper.  Please note that the second entrance on Hwy 30A is now closed.  All traffic must enter the park through the first entrance.

We are proud to announce that Topsail Hill Preserve State Park received ReserveAmerica's awards for Top Ten spots for "Amazing Locations", "Fishing Spots",  "Hiking Trails", "Tours and Events", and "Unique Cabins." 

Spring is here and it's time to plan your next fun-filled stay at Topsail Hill where the Real Florida....awaits!  With 22 tent-camp sites, 155 RV sites, and 32 cabins there is an option for everyone and that's just the start.  This park offers interpretive programs, guided hikes, canoe and kayak rentals, bike rentals, hiking, fishing, swimming, 3.2 miles of white sandy beaches, and access to an over 1,600 acre Preserve where an adventure of wildlife exploration awaits. 

 

Please join us for the 4th Annual Walton County Earth Day Festival and 5K Race on Saturday, April 21, 2012. The park will offer a weeklong series of activities including kids programs, guided hikes, and presentations leading up to the day of the festival. On Saturday, the event will kick-off with a Beach Clean-Up, where you can pitch in and help clean up the Gem of the Emerald Coast. The festival will include: children's activities, educational games, sustainability demos, music, guided hikes, a silent auction, food and fun for all ages. Many environmental agencies, local artists, and area businesses will be on hand to educate and entertain festival-goers. The 5K Race will start at 4 o'clock and the runners will bring a close to the event as they cross the finish line. Please join us as we celebrate and share all the beauties that Walton County has to offer and make everyday Earth Day.

GETTING HERE

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park is located in Santa Rosa Beach, 10 miles east of Destin, FL. Take I-10 to Exit 85 (Defuniak Springs) and follow U.S. Highway 331 south. Travel 27 miles to U.S. Highway 98. Turn right and travel approximately five miles west to scenic Highway 30A. Turn left and go one quarter mile to the entrance on the right.
