NATIONAL PUBLIC LANDS DAY-FIRST VOLUNTEER PROJECT
Tomoka State Park
Date: September 27, 2014 9:30am-12:30pm
Join us for a half-day of volunteer service and give back to the community! Bring out the family and help us improve/clean up our park areas. Several opportunities are available for trail maintenance, trash pick-up and more! Then enjoy the rest of the day on us. Take a leisurely walk along our 1/2 mile nature trail, do a self-guided scavenger hunt, rent a canoe/kayak from our parkstore or just enjoy a picnic and re-connect with nature and family. Rubber gloves and trash bags will be provided. Please dress for the outdoor conditions and remember to bring water, sunscreen, bug repellant, and a hat. Don't forget your camera and binoculars too, you never know what wildlife you might see. So come on down and celebrate our National Public Lands. Pre-registration accepted but not mandatory to participate. Call 386-676-4075 for more information or to pre-register. Children must be accompanied by an adult/guardian.
