Testimonials for Tomoka State Park
- "This is truly one of the most beautiful parks in Florida. EVERY campsite is beautiful, shaded and private. The drive to and through the park is an experience to remember. You forget your just 5 minutes from the Ocean what with all the palm trees and live oak lined roads. This is a park Florida residents can be proud of showing off."

Nancy Baisden - Land O’ Lakes, FL - What an impressive park. The hammock and marshland beauty is unequalled in the Central Florida area. The facilites and sites were kept very clean. Our site was shaded and cool. We met some of the park's residents, too: bats, armadillos, racoons, birds and squirrells. A must-see for campers.
Kim Martin - Kissimmee, FL - Hi All, last week we spent 2 1/2 wonderful days at Tomoka State park. What a beautiful place. Very shaded and natural surroundings, very nice boat launch for canoeing etc. We also met some of the parks local residents, squirrells and our offical camp mascot the racoon lol, or should I say a few racoons.
Nice nature trails, and lots to do. The bathroom facilitys were very clean and neat, and everyone was very friendly. We will certainly make another trip to this beautiful park.

Bruce - Melbourne , Florida - Very Nice!! I go there for cub scouts. nice river. Is the tale of Tomoka Smith real??????
Kyle Kipple - Jacksonvillle, FL - Very large and beautiful park. Personnel friendly and efficient. Bathrooms spacious and clean (until the weekend invasion). Boat ramp very boater-canoe-kayak friendly. Good trails throughout. Museum fairly interesting. The only complaints about our week there were that: there are way too many sites crammed into the campground causing a complete lack of privacy between sites; speed limits in campground not enforced; Camp "store & restaurant" poorly stocked with virtually no camping equipment. The "restaurant" is a glass fronted cooler with 6 or 7 small wrapped sandwiches in it. You will also find a sign in the front door stating that the store is "open on some Mondays". If you're driving or hauling anything big, your going to have a tough time backing into a site due to the extremely narrow roads and over abundance of campsites packed in together. There is only one pull through site so practice your parking skills before visiting Tomoka S.P.
Ed McDougall - Brooksville, FL - My family and I went to camp at Tomoka State Park for the first time. We found the park staff very nice and they answered all of our questions. The park was clean and easy to move around in. Our camp site had an apple tree in it and we had visits from the wildlife possibly the racoons. We found the local citizens to be friendly and we found good deals at yard sales. We will surely come back to this park and I should mention that we parked our 31 foot travel trailer with no problems. Hope to see you at the park and God Bless.
Ethel Cole - Summerfield, Florida - Beautiful park. We visited midweek so it was quiet and peaceful. Nice trails and a great place to fish.Park personal were friendly and helpful. Kayaks and canoes were more expensive than at other parks and the museum is now closed due to budget cuts. Park was kept very clean and sites looked like they had been raked between visitors. All bathhouses were very clean and our camping neighbors were mostly quiet and kept to themselves.
