Testimonials for Three Rivers State Park
- I stayed in the one park cabin this weekend and had a very relaxing time. This park is clean and well maintained but small for the four of us. When my husband had to leave for work and we were down to three it was easier to eat together inside but as long as the weather is nice there is a large picnic table with a grill with more than enough room for four. I don't think I have ever heard as many birds sing to me as I did this weekend. My father and husband were fishing off the pier and had no luck but we still had a very peaceful weekend. We also were treated to seeing 5 deer as we left the park so that was a nice way to end our trip. I recommend this park to all who wamt to enjoy pretty surroundings, enjoy the sound of birds and have a relaxing time.
Sandra Pearson - Orange Park, FL - We spent last weekend camping here and it is a very nice park. The scenery was beautiful with lots of changing leaves. Be sure to bring fishing poles to enjoy the lake. They do have some to use at the checkin area. We were going to camp at Torreya, but they were booked. This is a much nicer place to camp and the scenery is just as nice as Torreya.
Karen Vogel - Jacksonville, Florida - Though it was very cold the morning we stopped to visit Three Rivers, we put on our sweaters and enjoyed a hike in the woods. Because I live in Central Florida, I rarely encounter rolling terraine and loved the leaf covered hills, over which the trail climbs now and then. After our walk, we enjoyed a brunch, the only humans about, and watched the visiting robins forrage in the grass under the trees. Our visit was short but refreshing to body and spirit.
Wendy Wilson - Orange City, Florida - we stayed in cabin for a week it was nice and cozy. If our boys where not on the dock fishing they were in the loft reading books.. and had to be called to come in at dark. they loved the loft
and made there own space. and me and wife sit on the porch.. she loved out fishing me on the lake
she caught a nice bass of 3 lb. late after dark on a spinner bait. I got skunked.. all in all we loved it there on the water.
Ronnie Amerson - Mayo, Fla - This park is on the state list to be closed. It would be a loss to the public and park system. It should stay open!!! Not everyone wants to stay at the parks on the beach. It is an excellent place to relax, catch fish, and enjoy wildlife. The view is fabulous and the canoe ride can't be beat. The cabin is clean and well maintained (if you are lucky to rent it. There is only one). The park staff were freindly and offer suggestions on making our stay more enjoyable. Build more cabins and keep this park OPEN!!!
