Enjoy two of our trails as you delve into the history of Suwannee River State Park.
9:00 a.m.- 9:30 a.m.
The Earthworks Trail- 1200ft Leisure Trail
Step back in time as you are guided over Civil War Era Earthworks and the Old Ferry Landing leading you to the confluence of the Suwannee and Withlacoochee Rivers Overlook.
10:30 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.
The Sandhill Trail - 4052ft Leisure Trail
As you are guided through the beautiful Sandhill you will be able to imagine what Florida’s dominant ecosystem was for thousands of years. Midway through the trail visit the Columbus Cemetery. The only remnant of the hustling and bustling town that was located here over 150 years ago.
