STATE PARK TO HOST COASTAL CLEANUP EVENT

Date: Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The Department of Environmental Protection’s Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park along with the Apalachicola Riverkeepers will host a coastal cleanup event. The Apalachicola Riverkeepers coastal cleanup is a countywide effort aimed at cleaning our shores and educating beach goers. Participants will help to pick up litter along the bayside of St. George Island State Park. This will be a great day to bring the family to the park for a rewarding experience. Entrance fees will be waived for participants. Participants should bring drinking water, sunscreen, bug spray, gloves and appropriate clothing.

Directions: St. George Island State Park is accessible via a four mile bridge from Eastpoint, Florida. Eastpoint is located approximately 75 miles southwest of Tallahassee, Florida. The park is located on the east end of St. George Island.
