STATE PARK TO HOST NATIONAL PUBLIC LANDS DAY EVENT

Date: Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The Department of Environmental Protection’s Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park will host a coastal cleanup on National Public Lands Day, the nation's largest single day event for public lands aimed at educating the public on environmental issues and proper stewarship. Participants will help to pick up litter along the bayside of St George Island State Park. This will be a great day to bring the family to the park for a rewarding experience. Participants should bring drinking water, sunscreen, bug spray, gloves and appropriate clothing.

Directions: St. George Island State Park is accessible via a four mile bridge from Eastpoint, Florida. Eastpoint is located approximately 75 miles southwest of Tallahassee, Florida. The park is located on the east end of St. George Island.
