We have several areas in the  park that are flooded due to the rain that we received from winter and spring storms. Some portion of the Gator Lake nature trail is inaccesible due to the flood.  Please call the park to receive the current status on the availability to access this nature trail. 

On May 11, 2013 the run portion of the Gulf Coast Triathlon will be occuring in St. Andrews State Park.  During the run portion of the race event, we will ask for your patience as we will altering normal traffic flow and some operations may take a bit longer to execute while the runners are in the park  We expect the bulk of the runners between 9:00am until 3:00pm.  Once the runners have cleared the park, all normal traffic flow and operations will resume.  Please call the park if you have any questions reference to this event.

     I want to welcome you to St. Andrews State Park and invite you to visit us during your spring vacation. Come relax and recreate at St. Andrews State Park.  While visiting the park, you  can enjoy a number of recreating activities such as sunbathing, swimming, camping, boating, snorkeling, scuba diving, and watch beautiful sunsets on the Gulf of Mexico.  If fishing is on your itinerary, you can fish from the shoreline, the lagoon pier, or on our ocean pier, that extends 500 feet out into the Gulf of Mexico.  There is something for everyone to enjoy with a multitude of recreational opportunities and abundant wildlife activity.  Enjoy the beautiful sugar white sand and the emerald clear waters of St. Andrews State Park.

While visiting St. Andrews State Park, please familiarize yourself with the color coded warning flag system for current water conditions at the entrance to the park and the beach.

If you require any special accommodations during your park visit , please call one of the telephone numbers listed for the park to reserve beach wheelchairs. Requests made in advance help to ensure reasonable accommodations are made for all visitors.   St. Andrews State Park is committed to making all reasonable efforts to ensure that our facilities, programs and services are accessible to, and usable by, all people, including those with disabilities.

 We have two nature trails and Shell Island for you to explore and observe the various wildlife, plant communities, and unspoiled beachfront.

GETTING HERE

St. Andrews State Park is located three miles east of Panama City Beach, off State Road 392 (Thomas Drive.) From Highway 98 turn south onto Highway 3031 (Thomas Drive) and follow it to Highway 392. Turn left to enter into the gates of St. Andrews State Park.

PET POLICY

  • Florida State Parks Pet Policy
  • Pets are permitted in the park, but not on the beach. They must be well-behaved and kept on a six-foot handheld leash at all times. Pets must not be left unattended or taken into restroom facilities or concession areas. Please clean up after your pet. Service animals are welcome in all areas and buildings of the park, as required by law.
