Silver River State Park Volunteer Information


Come and join our team! Our park is growing and so is our need for volunteer support. Much of our park's success depends on our dedicated, hard working volunteers. You can qualify if you would like to learn new skills, have special skills you would like to share, want to meet new friends, and help to preserve part of the real Florida. Current Positions Available: --Campground Host/ Campground Volunteer
(Summer months April thru October)

*greet campers

*maintain sites and restrooms

*20 hrs week for free campsite w/elect.


--Museum Guide (Saturday, Sunday, Holidays)

*greet visitors

*take admission fees

*operate small gift shop


--Ranger Assistant (Saturday, Sunday)

*greet visitors

*take admission fees

*register campers


--Trail Maintenance (weekly)

*trim trails

*check for needed signs

*check for hazards


--Interpretive (monthly)

*assist Ranger in programs

*cracker village tour guide

*museum tour guide
