The primitive River Rise equestrian camp contains a 20-stall barn, a restroom with showers and a pavilion along with 35 miles of equestrian trails. Leashed pets are allowed inside the camping area, but not on the trails.

Beginning December 7, 2012, camping equestrians will be able to pay camping fees by credit card by calling 386-454-1853; checking in at the Ranger Station first will no longer be required.   Upon payment, the gate combination to River Rise Preserve State Park will be given for entry.

Those paying camping fees by cash or check will be required to check in at the Ranger Station at O’Leno State Park before entering River Rise Preserve State Park.  Upon payment, the gate combination to River Rise Preserve State Park will be given for entry.   

Beginning January 2013, we will begin taking reservations for primitive camping at the River Rise Horse Barn.  Maximum number of rigs allowed nightly: 40.  Reservations can be made up to 60 days ahead of arrival.   

Proof of negative Coggins is required.

River Rise has approximately 20 miles of horseback riding trails. These trails pass through a variety of plant communities and take you to the River Rise for viewing of this unique feature.

River Rise has one covered pavilion that is available for rental for $30.00 per day and can be reserved by calling the park office at 386-454-1853.
