Testimonials for John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park
- My family tent camped at Pennekamp in the summer of 2005. It was wonderful, and we all really enjoyed the trip. This is a great park for children. My son had just turned 2 at the time, and he loved it. There is also great snorkling right off the beach - we saw schools of huge parrot fish within 50 feet of the shore!

franklyn padilla - Frostproof, Florida - Very friendly and accommodating staff. Good dive briefing with excellent facilities onboard the boat. Fast smooth excursions to the dive sites. Fresh cold water on board for everyone. Dive sites provided a wide variety of coral and marine life species in shallow water allowing hour length dives. Actually saw several large sharks and a large eagle ray on the day, as well as hundreds of different fish species. Non diving wife particularly enjoyed the glass bottomed boat and enjoyed the other facilities the park has to offer.
Mike Finean - United Kingdom, - We stopped for one night at this park with our 30-ft camper. It was a tight squeeze in the campground. Be warned, it is very difficult to turn around at the end of the campground as there is no turn around at all! It was VERY buggy. It was a lot of fun seeing all the iguanas in the trees at our campsite. One was almost 5 ft long!! We didn't get to check out the beach, but really loved the snorkeling trip to the reef. The guides were very helpful and informative. It was well worth stopping for the night just for this event!! We camped there in June 2009.
