Ranger Programs at Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park
FAMILY BIRDING AT PAYNES PRAIRIE
Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park
First Saturday of every month November through April
Join us for a beginning birding series for all ages, including children. Bring the whole family! Topics include bird habitat, identification basics, migration, and keeping a birding checklist.
No high-tech gear is required. Bring them if you have them, but we have several pairs of binoculars to share and will provide basic instruction in their operation. We will also have a variety of guides and other tools. This program is designed for anyone with an interest in birding – with or without experience – and to provide families with the knowledge and tools necessary to share a birding experience.
Space is limited and details are subject to change. Preregistration for individual sessions is required.
To register for individual sessions, visit Friends of Paynes Prairie, Inc.
Please provide the ages of all children that will be participating so that we can plan activities suitable to their age group.
Photography and/or Video may be taken during this event.
Program is free, but park admission fees apply
