JUNIOR RANGER PROGRAM
Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park
Self Guided
Are you interested in exploring nature and history? Would you like to learn more about Paynes Prairie while doing fun games and activities? Then become a Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park Junior Ranger! Junior Rangers learn about the wildlife and history unique to Paynes Prairie as well as park stewardship and outdoor safety as they explore the park through the Junior Ranger Activity Guide.
Come by the Visitor Center (9am – 4pm), the Ranger Station (8am – sunset) or to the La Chua Interpretation Trailer (only weekends) to pick up your Junior Ranger Activity Guide. When you finish at least 5 activities in the booklet, bring it back to get your official Junior Ranger badge and certificate!
Please note that we do not maintain sufficient copies to supply large groups such as schools, churches, and other organizations. Please download the booklet and make sufficient copies prior to your visit.

We suggest a donation of $4.00 for the booklet, badge and certificate. All donations will go to the Friends of Paynes Prairie for the continued support of the Junior Ranger program. Thank you.
