KEEP SARASOTA BEAUTIFUL (INTERNATIONAL COASTAL CLEAN-UP DAY)

Date: Saturday, September 20, 2014. 9:00 am - Noon.
Take part in celebrating International Coastal Cleanup Day with Sarasota County’s Keep Sarasota County Beautiful program! Participants can use park canoes and kayaks in South Creek to pick up trash around the fragile mangrove estuary, pick up trash by walking along South Creek, as well as pick up trash along the shores of our two freshwater lakes. Canoes/kayaks limited to the first 20 people. Check back for additional information as the date grows nearer.
Fees: Free park entrance for registered clean-up participants.

Directions: Oscar Scherer State Park is located on U.S.41, six miles south of Sarasota. Heading south on I-75 take exit 200. Heading north on I-75 take exit 195.
