NATIONAL PUBLIC LANDS DAY EVENT
O'Leno State Park
Date: Saturday, September 27, 2014. 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
National Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands Americans enjoy. O’Leno State Park will be hosting a Trail Clearing and Trimming project in honor of NPLD. Join us at River Rise Preserve State Park to work on trimming branches at the trail head and working on clearing and trimming trails. Meet at the Horse Barn located at the main entrance to River Rise Preserve S.P. 2 miles west of High Springs on Hwy. 27. Groups, families, and individuals…everyone is welcome. Bring loppers, dress appropriately for your comfort, wear close toed shoes and bring gloves, water, sunscreen and insect spray. Pre-registration is required by calling 386-454-0723.
Lunch will be provided to all participants following the clean-up by the Friends of O'Leno, Inc.

Northbound -- O'Leno is located on US 441, 8 miles north of High Springs.
Southbound -- O'Leno is located 8 miles south of I-75 at Exit 414 (Ellisville) on US 441.
