A NOTE FROM THE MANAGER

Rob Lacy, Manager

The 36th Annual Reenactment of the Battle of Natural Bridge on March 2 and 3, 2013 was a great success.  The event commemorated the 148th anniversary of the Civil War Battle that took place 12 miles south of Tallahassee on March 6, 1865.  We are already gearing up for the 149th Anniversary next year, and looking ahead to a huge commemoration of the 150th Anniversary in 2015! More information about the reenactment may be found at the Natural Bridge Historical Society website: http://nbhscso.com.

Now that this year's reenactment has come and gone, Natural Bridge Battlefield Historic State Park has returned to a quiet place to picnic, fish, or just relax and enjoy the serene sights and sounds of nature. With Spring in full swing and summer on the way, bird and wildlife activity is in high gear. Drop by the park and see how many different species you can spot.

Guided interpretive tours of the park cover the battle history, as well as the natural features of the park. To schedule a tour, contact the park office at least two weeks in advance of the tour date.
