About Lignumvitae Key Botanical State Park
A NOTE FROM THE MANAGER
Mike Guarino
Lignumvitae Key has always been a hotspot for a variety of bird species during the spring. And, this year is no different. Migrating birds returning from South America take brief rests on these islands for food and water. We've already seen indigo buntings, warblers, American redstarts and the most colorful of all, painted buntings.
But, birder or not, comfortable temperatures and fewer mosquitoes make this island a great place to visit.
