LAKE LOUISA STATE PARK'S 5TH ANNUAL FIELD DAY
Date: May 17, 2008, 10:00 a.m. - 2.00 p.m.
Description: Most activities and exhibitions take place on the Park’s beautiful beach at Lake Louisa. This field day is a family oriented and nature friendly event, designed to create awareness about Florida’s natural and cultural heritage. A ceremony will be held to re-dedicate our World War 2 Gilmore monument. Exhibitors from all over Central Florida will provide information, demonstrations and activities concerning environmental issues, outdoor recreation, wildlife, native plants and much more.

VOLUNTEER WORKDAY
3rd Saturday of the month 9 AM - 12 PM Oct. 16, N Work along side staff and volunteers to complete various park projects. Volunteers get a chance to learn about the park’s resource management and visitor service goals and how they too can become environmental stewards of the park. Participates will receive a free lunch provided by the Friends of Lake Louisa State Park.

COFFEE WITH A RANGER
Saturday Mornings 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. During late autumn and winter, between Daylight Saving Time ends and Daylight Saving Time begins, we host "Coffee with a Ranger" every Saturday morning between 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Regular park admission fee applies, unless you are camping overnight. At the campground's group fire ring, visitors can join a ranger for coffee and friendly conversations while sitting next to a cozy fire. Rangers and park guests get to exchange their experiences and stories with each other in a casual and relaxed setting.

CAMPFIRE PROGRAM
Oct - Mar Each Saturday one-hour after Park Closes CAMPFIRE PROGRAM* for overnight guests only, Oct-March each Saturday one hour after closing, at the campfire circle listen to stories or learn fun facts about the park.
