MUSIC IN THE PARK CONCERT SERIES - LOTELA GOLD
Highlands Hammock State Park
Date: April 18, 2015; 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Lotela Gold: This solid gold band plays “golden oldies rock and roll” from the 1950s and 60s with a harmony and balance that is pure gold! Although the band is relatively new, having formed in June 2011, they quickly developed a fan base and following in the greater Heartland area and beyond. Their performance will evoke nostalgia for simpler times and memories of high school proms when youth “rocked around the clock,” Elvis was “King” and Sam Cooke pioneered soul music.
Concerts run from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Saturday night. Concert admission is $5.00 per person. Accompanied children 12 and under are free of charge. Bring blankets, lawn chairs, and flashlights and enjoy an evening of music under the stars. Food vendors will be onsite. Park entry fee of $6.00 per vehicle (up to 8 people) is waived after 6:00 pm on concert nights. Music in the Park Concerts are sponsored by the Friends of Highlands Hammock State Park. Proceeds benefit park improvements.
