Testimonials for Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area at Flagler Beach

• My family and I have stopped at this park several times and especially love the seaside hammock, through which visitors can hike on trails. I love the Florida hammocks, but the seaside hammocks captivate me more than those inland because the trees are fabulously dwarfed, wildly twisted and knotted. Like entering a low, leafy tunnle, they offer a cool reprieve from the Florida sun. Gamble Rogers also has well equipped picnic areas with large grills and water spiggots. The park always seems peaceful after the traffic of Daytona, with its enticing view of the waterway. It's a great place to just be lazy, to settle into the breezy shade of a gazebo and enjoy life. I appreciate the effort that goes into maintaining these parks and that our lovely state preserves these areas and protects them from ongoing development. We saw plenty of deer tracks along the trails, so I know the wildlife shelters here, as well. WW

• We LOVE this campgound,there is nothing better than having your own home (camper) right on the beach , it is a wonderful get away for the whole family away from all hustle and bustle of everyday. It is so quiet and peaceful, you just never want to go home!. We WILL be back again.
