Special Events for Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area at Flagler Beach

• SEA TURTLE EDUCATION AND ACTIVITY PROGRAM
  Date: Friday, Sept. 12th 2008 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  Description: A sea turtle program followed by a reading for children using one of the turtle books in the park library. We will also have a coloring contest of a turtle picture to be judged by the park staff. The award for the winner will be a framed sea turtle picture and a free day visit to the park for his or her family.
  Fees: Event is free when you show your Library Card, Library Book or donate a book to the park.

• JACK'S 50K AND 25K TRAIL RACES
  Date: Saturday, Sept. 13th 2008 8:00 a.m.
  Description: The challenging course follows 20 repeat 1.5 mile loops on the intracoastal waterway side of the park. This race is in memory of Carl Jack Fomran: avid runner and nature enthusiast.
