Join us Saturday, December 15th at Fort Pierce Inlet State Park for a leisurely 1-mile hike along the beach and dunes. This special Ranger-led program will explore the coastal strand, the dunes and the beach. Learn about the plants and animals native to our fragile barrier islands; hear about the sea turtles that nest on our local beaches. Find out why the park service works to preserve this threatened and vital environment.
Program is free with regular park entry fees of $4.00 for individual and $6.00 for 2 to 8 people in a vehicle. Call (772) 468-3985 to reserve a place on this special trip. Facilities and rest areas are available during hike.
