NATIONAL PUBLIC LANDS DAY
Fort Pierce Inlet State Park

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Fort Pierce Inlet State Park will be hosting a volunteer event in honor of National Public Lands Day. Volunteers are needed to help maintain the park’s Coastal Hammock and Red Bay Run trail system. Work together with park staff to remove litter, establish trail markers and trim overgrown vegetation.
This event is scheduled for Saturday, September 27, 2014 and will run from 9:00 am - 11:00 am. Individuals, families and civic groups are invited to lend a helping hand. Work clothes and closed-toed shoes are required. Suggested items to bring with you include sunscreen, water, insect repellent, trash grabbers, lopping shears and work gloves.
