About Forest Capital Museum State Park

Entrance to museum building located at Forest Capital Museum State Park.

A NOTE FROM THE MANAGER

Amy Conyers

Cooler fall weather makes it a great time to visit Forest Capital Museum State Park.  Stop in to see the museum and learn about Florida's rich history of timber production, then take a step back in time as you explore the 19th Century Cracker Homestead.  Take a glimpse into what everyday life was like for early Floridians.  Pack a lunch for a picnic under the pines or rent one of 3 pavilions for your family gathering or event.  The park is open Thursday through Monday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The park is closed Tuesday and Wednesday each week.
