| The golden mouse is a small mouse (adult with a 3 in. body and a 3 in. tail) that spends considerable time in trees and shrubs. It nests in trees, shrubs and vines by building a nest of leaves and pieces of bark. They are not rare but are not commonly seen, being mostly nocturnal. Their range is the southeastern US, south to Central Florida. | |
