With the river running high water backs up into the springs. The once dry bottom land adjacent to the springs vanishes under a sheet of water giving the place an entirely different look.
While Fanning Springs is not known for exciting diving, instructors teach classes here and people will sometimes use the springs to check out their gear in preparation for more challenging dives. Most people are content to snorkel.

The non-handicapped accessible cabins have smaller bedrooms than our handicapped accessible cabin. We like to think of them as being cozy.
Looking from the dining area one sees a small couch and beyond that the doorways into the two bedrooms. To the left is the front door leading to the screened porch.
Standing on the far end of the floating dock you can look over the swimming area to the other side. Most of it has been left in a natural state to help prevent the bank from eroding.
