Essential Eligibility Criteria

In order to safely participate in this activity, participants must have:

The ability to travers uneven ground 1/2 mile to canoe launch.
The ability to lift and transport canoe 50 feet to and from the launch independently or with the assistance of a companion.
The ability to enter and exit the canoe independently or with the assistance of a companion.
The ability to remain seated and balanced, using adaptive support if needed.
The ability to paddle canoe through the water in a stable and controlled manner independently or with the assistance of a companion.
The ability (in case of capsize) to escape from under the watercraft independently and the ability to right oneself and remain face up in the water with the aid of a personal flotation device.
